Before the oysters arrive, there’s a boat to catch. La Sultana Oualidia takes guests out on a traditional fishing boat to visit the lagoon’s oyster beds, where farming began in the 1950s. It’s a chance to learn about a trade that has shaped this town on Morocco’s Atlantic coast for decades.
The boat trip ends with six oysters each and local white wine at O Bar, at the tip of the hotel’s jetty. Leave time for the aperitif when booking; the tasting is as much a part of the experience as the visit to the farms.
