TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao Makes Room for a New Retreat

TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao

In December 2026, TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao will open 15 Jungle Retreat Villas overlooking Thailand’s Phang Nga Bay. Each will have a private plunge pool, an open-air living deck and an extended balcony with a hammock. The sea views come framed by jungle canopy.

The opening expands an established retreat on Koh Yao Noi, an island between Phuket and Krabi. Here, tropical jungle meets limestone cliffs. The final approach is by speedboat, giving guests a first look at the bay before they reach their villa.

The crossing takes around 50 minutes from Phuket Yacht Haven Marina or 30 minutes from Tha Len Pier in Krabi. For those planning a longer journey through Thailand, either route puts a few nights on the island within easy reach.

Poolside, With the Jungle Around You

TreeHouse Villas built its identity around the original luxury treehouse experience in Asia. For this new collection, the resort promises more space and greater privacy.

Much of that space is outdoors. Each villa has a five-by-two-metre plunge pool beside an open-air living deck. The extended balcony offers lounge seating and a hammock, with views through the trees towards the sea.

Each villa accommodates a maximum of two guests. The resort welcomes those aged 16 and over, keeping the setting adults-only.

For a shared holiday, having this much private outdoor space is an appealing part of the plans. There is somewhere to swim, read or sit together without leaving the villa. A morning here need involve very little organising.

Thailand can inspire an ambitious itinerary. A stay on Koh Yao Noi leaves room for days spent closer to the accommodation, with the bay still in view.

Yoga, Sound Healing and Somewhere to Gather

Every villa will include a private wellness corner for yoga and sound healing. Guests can keep up a familiar practice in their own space.

Across the resort, the programme includes yoga, sound healing, Tai Chi and ice plunges. Signature treatments are available at Aruna Aura Spa and Wellness.

The expansion also brings a dedicated Jungle Lounge with its own reception. A distinctive Grill dining concept and a cascading pool will form part of this shared space. Alongside the private villas, it offers somewhere to gather for a meal or spend time by another pool.

Exploring Phang Nga Bay

The wider resort has a 400-metre private beach framed by limestone cliffs. Oriental pied hornbills are frequent visitors, giving guests another reason to keep an eye on the trees.

Guided island-hopping excursions explore Phang Nga Bay. Kayaking through mangrove forests brings guests closer to the shoreline, while batik painting sessions offer time ashore.

There is plenty to plan, though it helps to leave a few gaps. After the flights and boat crossing, a free afternoon on your own balcony may be among the most welcome parts.

The Jungle Retreat Villas are scheduled to welcome guests from December 2026. For travellers considering Thailand this winter, the opening adds a new place to stay among the trees of Koh Yao Noi.
