Schiaparelli

Last chance to see Schiaparelli at the V&A

A skeleton dress, a torn-fabric illusion and an embroidered coat designed with Jean Cocteau: Schiaparelli’s collaborations with artists produced clothes that still look startling today. The V&A brings them together in Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art, the UK’s first exhibition devoted to Elsa Schiaparelli. With the show closing on 15 November 2026, there’s still time to see her experiments up close.

The exhibition follows the house from its 1920s beginnings to Daniel Roseberry’s contemporary couture, placing recent designs alongside the work that established its reputation. For anyone following Schiaparelli through runway images, this is a chance to examine the construction, embroidery and detail in person. Book a visit before the final Sunday comes around.
