Forget AI. Tudor Farmhouse Is Making Christmas by Hand

Hot wax and coloured dyes might be an unexpected start to Christmas preparations. Artist Sian Burns uses both in her batik workshop at Tudor Farmhouse on 24 November. It opens three days of making at the Clearwell hotel, where local artists teach small projects to take home.

On 25 November, the choice is between felt decorations and a set of four glass coasters. Jen from Sew Forest of Dean leads embroidery on 26 November, allowing a full day to finish a piece. All sessions welcome beginners and can be booked individually. Batik and felting cost £80; glasswork costs £90, each including festive afternoon tea. The embroidery day costs £130, with a two-course lunch and guidance throughout from the first stitch.
