Rudding Park’s chapel is an unusual place to find a dinner reservation. On Friday 11 December, the Harrogate hotel will serve Champagne and a three-course festive dinner inside the Gothic Revival building. The Rhodes Brothers will perform a live acoustic set, making the chapel both dining room and concert venue for the evening.
Completed in 1879, the chapel stands beside Rudding House, with stone carvings made by Italian craftsmen. It rarely opens for events like this, though members have previously attended dinner there. The new Dinner & Music in the Chapel gives guests another opportunity to spend an evening inside. For friends gathering before Christmas, the invitation combines a festive meal with a performance in one of the estate’s least-familiar rooms.
