Chateau Denmark‘s I Am Anarchy suite sits inside Soho’s most storied music address on Denmark Street. The Sex Pistols lived, recorded and rehearsed here, tracking early versions of Anarchy in the UK and Pretty Vacant. Johnny Rotten’s wall caricatures later earned the building Grade II* listed status from Historic England.
The duplex suite spans 51 square metres with a private courtyard and butler service. Tartan blinds, a Vivienne Westwood Union Jack rug and graffitied Jimmie Martin chairs sit beside a black Murphy bed, a replica Gibson Les Paul from Steve Jones, and a 65-inch screen with Void and Artcoustic sound. Bathroom amenities come from 19-69’s Purple Haze range.
