La Nouvelle Eve has twelve minutes of cancan waiting for you

A 12-minute French cancan is a lot of high kicks. At La Nouvelle Eve, it’s the finale to Paris je t’aime, a revue that also finds room for acrobatics and a tango to Piaf’s “La Vie en Rose”. The Montmartre theatre has been entertaining audiences since 1898, and its starry ceiling looks ready for a night out too. Across the show, 23 performers work their way through 150 costumes.

The room has a part to play too, with a starry ceiling and a multicoloured dance floor below the stage. You can add dinner or champagne, but we would come for the performers. There aren’t many Paris nights where a tango, an acrobat and a full cast of cancan dancers share the same bill.
