The Zetter Bloomsbury

The Zetter Bloomsbury Takes The First Hotel Design Crown

The Zetter Bloomsbury is worth booking for the interiors alone. House & Garden agrees: the magazine named it its first Hotel Design of the Year at the 2026 awards. Across six Georgian townhouses beside the British Museum, James Thurstan Waterworth has assembled nearly 2,000 antiques and artefacts, alongside artworks and textiles collected around the world.

The 68 bedrooms have individual designs, with patterned fabrics, antique furniture and, in selected rooms, four-poster beds and claw-foot baths. That attention extends to the spaces you share: The Parlour for cocktails, The Orangery overlooking a private garden. For anyone who saves hotel photographs for decorating inspiration, there’s plenty here to take home.
