Fireworks from a restaurant table sound like an excellent Cotswolds plan. On Saturday 31 October, The Lakes by YOO marks Bonfire Night with a gala dinner at The Lakes Bar & Kitchen. The bonfire and display are visible across the water; inside, the menu includes scallops with brown butter and curry oil, duck breast with a confit leg croquette, and chocolate and whisky marquise with burnt orange.
There’s Delica pumpkin with black garlic and cavolo nero on the menu too. Dinner begins at 7pm; two courses cost £65, three cost £75, and children’s places are £40. Duck and fireworks over the lake make a persuasive Saturday night.
